HSA April Newsletter

HAPPY SPRING!

Spell-A-Thon pledge money is due on April 3rd. The student in each class returning the most pledge money by the due date will receive $10.00 cash prize.  Also, the class with the highest amount of donations will receive a pizza party courtesy of the Home and School Association along with a WEAR WHAT YOU LIKE DAY! More details will be forthcoming in your Friday Folders.
We are excited to announce a new fundraiser for St. Mary's School!  Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Milford will be holding a Bookfair for the St. Mary's community on Saturday, April 20.  Just mention St. Mary's School when you make a purchase between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00, and Barnes & Noble will donate a portion of their sales to our school!  Any purchases from the store and their Starbucks Cafe will count towards our fundraiser!

There will be scavenger hunts for the children, and a performance by the St. Mary's School Band! We will also have a teacher's wish list table for anyone that would like to purchase books for our classroom libraries.

We are looking for parent volunteers to sit at our welcome table and greet customers of St. Mary's School.  It's an easy and fun way to earn your volunteer hours!  Come join us and support our school!

Any questions and interested volunteers please contact Sally Pierro at sockspierro@aol.com or 203-668-8650.

The Bingo Co-Chairs are Seeking Volunteers to Work the Bingo Floor

Each family is assigned 25 Bingo Assessment hours that must be completed by June 30, 2013. New families were added to the volunteer schedule in January. If you prefer to work specific dates please let our Bingo Co-Chairs know or they will randomly schedule you. The current volunteer schedule is available on the Bingo Page of the school website.

The State of Connecticut requires a PIN for anyone who works the Bingo floor. A PIN application was included in your back to school folders, and is also available by clicking on PIN Application Form in our Bingo links at HSA Parents. In addition you will need to complete a Notice and Statement of Applicant Form also available in our Bingo links at HSA Parents. Please return your PIN application and Notice of Statement of Applicant Form to the school as soon as possible.

For more information check out the Bingo page on the school website or contact our Bingo Co-Chairs: Chris Clark, Donna Carloni, and Patsy Gerckens at bingo@stmarystmichael.org
