Dear Parents,
It's hard to believe we are less than two weeks away from our 5th Annual Duck Race! All the Duck Race events on Derby Day are fundraisers to help our school. I'd like to just send a few requests and reminders:
We need volunteers to help sell duck race tickets at Stop & Shop in Ansonia this Sunday from 9AM - 1 PM. It is a perfect time to work off any last minute volunteer hours.
There is still time to enter the Duck Decorating Contest! The entry fee is $15. You can stop by the office to purchase the large duck to be decorated.
Duck Race Raffle Tickets are due back on Friday, June 7th in order for sales to be eligible for the H.S.A. assessment credit and the Family & Classroom contests. You may continue to sell raffle tickets after this day.
A volunteer schedule for Derby Day will be sent via email toward the end of this week. If you have not done so already, please send me your availability to help that day. On Saturday, June 15th, we will meet at the school at 6 AM for set up and we will begin clean up after the event on the green starting at 5 PM. Because school will still be in session on the following Monday, we will need to make sure nothing is left in the all-purpose room. Your help will be greatly appreciated and hours will go toward your H.S.A. assessment.
Don't forget to register for the Derby Dash 5K and Fun Run which begins at 8 AM. A link is available on our website to register and pay online for the Derby Dash 5K & Fun run.
