The Student Council is participating in Operation Christmas Child this year. Operation Christmas Child sends gifts overseas to children who have never received a Christmas present. They are collecting shoe boxes to be filled with items that would be appropriate for the age group that the students is in and will be wrapped and sent to impoverished children around the world via the Samaritan Purse Organization. Collection begins today, October 27th and will continue through November 14th.
Each classroom will fill at least two shoe boxes. Suggested items: crayons, memo pads, markers, pencils, toy cars, rainbow loom bands and bracelets, playdoh, cards, pens, bubbles, small bounce balls, yo-yo's, small travel games, hygiene items: toothbrush, toothpaste, combs, brushes, hair ties, unscented soaps, individually wrapped hard candies, socks, hats, mittens, and small stuffed animals. Remember that the items donated must fit in a shoe box. There will be a box for donations in front of the All Purpose room.
All items must be brought in by November 14th. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
