Field Day 2014

Field Day Today!

Field Day takes place today Monday, June 9th, from 9:30AM to 1:00 PM at Coon Hollow in Derby. Buses will transport the children to and from Coon Hollow. 

This year field day has an Olympic theme! Each grade has been assigned a country and will represent their country by wearing a color.

Lunch will be provided and includes hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, watermelon, cookies, and water. Please inform us of any allergies. After lunch Mr. Softy’s Ice Cream truck will arrive with soft serve ice cream cones (sprinkles optional), bubble gum, or cotton candy ice cream on a stick for all! Thanks to Mrs. Coppola for providing this special treat.

Field Day Reminder

Please have your child wear the assigned color shirt for field day with their gym shorts and sneakers. There will be some water play so you may wish to send in a change of clothes for your child.

We will need help for set-up at 7:45am at Picnic Grove . If you wish to help set up please email Lori or Georgia. Otherwise all volunteers please arrive at 9 am.

The students will spend the day playing kickball, baseball, bouncing in the bounce house and more! Lunch will be provided and includes hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, watermelon, cookies, and water. Please inform us of any allergies. After lunch Mr. Softy’s Ice Cream truck will arrive with soft serve ice cream cones (sprinkles optional), bubble gum, or cotton candy ice cream on a stick for all! Field Day Rescheduled

Due to the forecast for inclement weathertonight and tomorrow, Field Day will be heldon Wednesday, June 12.  All arrangements have been made to change the date.  I hope our volunteers are still available to help us out.  PE uniforms are the attire for Field Day.

Since we will be in school on Tuesday, those who ordered lunch for Wednesday will be served lunch (chicken patties) on Tuesday.

Field Day Update

We are still in need of contributions for Field Day scheduled for Tuesday, June 11th at Coon Hollow from 9:30-1:30.

We need water, cookies, individual bags of chips, watermelon and condiments (ketchup, mustard and relish). Please drop off your donation at the school unless you will be joining us at the field.

There is a meeting scheduled for Friday at 7pm in the all purpose room at St. Mary's. We will make the meeting as brief as possible as I know your time is valuable.

Our goal is to coordinate the games, luncheon and ice cream bonanza in a timely and organized fashion so that the children can get the most out of their day.

I am open to any suggestions and ideas - especially for games to play.

Sheri Lotto is looking for volunteers to run games, fill water balloons, help with lunch and more.  If you are interested in volunteering please contact Sheri Lotto c/o of Ashley Grade 7.
